Trustworthiness in Research. An image of gears with the words respect, relationship and trust in each.

Speaker:

Monica Lemmon, MD
The Duke Aging Center is hosting speaker Monica Lemmon, MD, she will be speaking on the topic of "trustworthiness." Lately, there have been discussions regarding community-engaged research that shift the emphasis from asking questions about participants' "trust" (i.e, How do we get them to trust us? Why don't they trust us?) to the research team's "trustworthiness" (i.e., What can we do to be more trustworthy?). The theme of trustworthiness in research has other helpful implications too, e.g., it's a good way to frame conversations about compliance or research integrity.
